Hello guys. As we all know that Apple’s newest iPhone lineup is here- iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, and iPhone X. And these smartphones comes with features like an edge-to-edge OLED display, gorgeous body, and facial recognition, not to mention wireless charging also found on iPhone 8.
Today I will show you how the Apple flagship stacks up against the best Android smartphone. But before starting I would like to remind you to share this post with your friends and follow me for more interesting posts.
Let’s get started.
Design and Physical Features
As we all know the iPhone X is a design revolution for the company that brings them closer in line with Android. On iphone X we have a front that resembles the Essential PH-1. We also get an edge-to-edge display that leaves us with a smooth expanse of glass except for a cutout at the top for various imaging sensors and the earpiece. And on the sides, we get a band of metal that melds with the glass on the front and back.
But the Samsung S8 does have some things that iPhone X is missing. First of all a headphone jack on the bottom, which allows you to listen to your favorite music on your airpods(I personally hate it). A microSD slot for more storage(HAHA poor iphone users), And A fingerprint sensor on the back. The one and only feature that attracts me towards iphone X is the Face ID, which lets you unlock the phone by glancing at it. The company claims that it will be as reliable and accurate as Touch ID.
In terms of dimensions, both the smartphones are almost similar in size. The iPhone X measures 5.65 by 2.79 by 0.30 inches And the S8 measures 5.87 by 2.68 by 0.31 inches. Both the phones will fit in your hand comfortably and neither should strain your thumb when reaching across.
Both iphone x and S8 are water-resistant and dust-resistant and support wireless charging. Both the smartphone stand equally on the basis of design and physical features.
This is the area where S8 might leave iphone X behind. iPhone X comes with a 5.8-inch, 2,436-by-1,1125 Super Retina HD panel while the 5.8-inch Super AMOLED display on the Galaxy S8 has one distinct advantage.
Processor, Battery, and Camera
Apple has always beaten Android devices on the basis of the processor. The iPhone X runs A11 Bionic chipset(trust me it is incredibly powerful) with a single-core score of 4,061 and a multi-core score of 9,959, beating every Android device and all previous iPhones and iPads. Whereas the Snapdragon 835-powered S8 is left way behind on the basis of the processor.
Apple has not yet revealed details on the iPhone X’s battery capacity yet, but they claim it should last two hours longer than the iPhone 7 Plus. But, the Galaxy S8 lasts a shorter 5 hours, 45 minutes. I will reserve my judgment until the details of iphone X battery capacity is revealed. The camera of iphone X is still a mystery because Apple has not yet revealed the details(Bad Apple). The S8 comes with one of the best camera boasting a single 12-megapixel rear camera that excels in capturing detail and shooting in low light(GOOD SAMSUNG). Optical image stabilization, 4K video recording, and manual controls are some of the features in the camera.
iPhone X will come with the latest IOS 11 whereas the S8 does run Android 7.1 Nougat and should get an update to Android 8.0 Oreo, as well as support for Google’s ARCore, though Apple has a lead in this section.
